'Elysium' - Recent paintings by Wes Hicks

Wes Hicks' paintings are contemplations of the awe and beauty we feel in that stage of life when there is more past than future.

Originally from Texas, he now lives on a remote property in rural New South Wales near Inverell. Working in an old woolshed, his painting style draws on the colours and moods of the Australian landscape to explore dreams and experience.

He has been exhibiting since 1984 and his works are held in public and private collections in Australia and overseas. Elysian is his first exhibition on the Sunshine Coast.
